About
Welcome to The Crunch - Vega, a culinary gem nestled on the second floor of the Vega Center in Los Banos, Laguna. This vibrant eatery caters to both students and locals alike, drawing in those looking for satisfying and flavorful meals that bring a touch of variety to the fast food scene.
As I stepped into The Crunch, I was immediately greeted by an aroma that whetted my appetite. The menu boasts a delightful mix of dishes, showcasing not only crispy chicken but also exciting Korean-inspired flavors. The Chicken Skin Bucket caught my attention, offering a generous portion of crispy delights for just ₱140. It’s the perfect snack to complement the bustling atmosphere.
For those wanting a heartier meal, the Chicken Shots Rice Meal is a must-try. Priced at ₱90, it features tender, boneless fried chicken paired with flavorful sauces that you can customize to your liking, including the scrumptiously sweet Honey Garlic and the bold Kstyle Spicy. Each bite is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that elevate typical fast food fare.
Don't overlook the sides, either. The fiery Tteokbokki at ₱97 introduces a spicy twist, while the classic Kimchi adds a zingy punch. These dishes are not mere afterthoughts; they amplify the meal experience, inviting you to explore a broader spectrum of flavors.
The ambiance at The Crunch reflects the lively spirit of Los Banos, a nostalgic nod to the bustling student life that once filled the halls of this long-standing mall. Perfectly situated above fast food giants like McDonald's and Chowking, The Crunch emerges as a standout option, giving customers an opportunity to indulge in a different culinary experience without venturing far.
Whether you're grabbing a quick bite between classes or seeking to reconnect with old friends over a meal that stirs up cherished memories, The Crunch offers something for everyone. Do not miss the chance to enhance your dish with their Extra Sauce for just ₱50, adding both richness and depth to your meal.
In conclusion, The Crunch - Vega is more than just another fast food joint; it’s a place where flavor meets nostalgia. With its unique offerings, it’s a perfect spot for a quick yet memorable dining experience. Come explore the crunch that awaits you in Los Banos!
“ You can eat and find fast food chains here. ”
“ Back to student life days...seeing this Los Banos landmark ”
“ Back when I was still a college student in early 2000, this is the only mall nearby the university but almost complete with fastfood like Chowking, Mcdo, Dunkin Donut, mini bookstore, gym, computer shop, and quaint cafe. People flock here for only 2 things: Ahl's better-than-sex cake and Bugong's chicken ”
“ Even though the place is old, the management still maintains the cleanliness and function of the whole building. The security of the place is commendable since they strictly apply their rules and regulations in using their place. ”
“ There is limited stores in this mall. Good thing it houses Chowking and McDonalds. At this time of writing many stalls are still closed. Most stores on the upper floors close by 5pm. This place is not the place to go to when you intend to get a bit of relaxation. The place just feels so "tight" you would want to leave the place after buying what you intended to buy or after eating in the 2 fastfood chains mentioned above. The restroom was quite clean. ”
“ still gives the good-old days vibes way back during BS and MS when you are waiting for someone, this place is the ultimate meeting place for classmates, friends, orgmates et al. three-star for the abandoned, empty space inside including the all-time fave Bugong. Really, the pandemic took a great toll. Not just here in Vega Centre but in most dine-in resto like KFC among others. ”
“ This place still has some good stores: McDonald's, Chowking, Ygo's Bread, Bugong, Paponei, Black & Brew, Prologue, and Dionne's beauty parlor. It has a public comfort room in the second floor. ”
“ Wide range of food choices. You can also use GoSurf free WiFi here so that's a plus. Place is stationed with guard right beside the ATMs so fairly safe when withdrawing money. ”
